Proposed Replacement dwelling, Maughold
This proposal is to replace existing extensions of poor form to a dwelling within the Maughold village conservation area with a more coherent, contemporary scheme.
The proposal utilises a frameless glass link to connect the existing house with the more contemporary styled extensions, providing a visual divide. The contemporary extension is clad in manx stone facing onto the glass link, allowing the material to flow from the outside into the building. The extension roof is clad in standing seam zinc to distinguish between the old and the new.
The proposal has recently been granted planning permission at committee.
Indicated are the proposed elevation drawings, alongside renders of the proposal placed into the site and 3D models.
Awaiting building regulations approval.
